Acupuncture patients are advised to go Amy’s other practice in Alexandria – The Acupuncture Pregnancy clinic which is located at Alexandria Specialist Day Hospital. This location can Adhere to social distancing and strict hygiene (larger treatment rooms and hard surfaces that be sanitised between patients plus the use of masks and gloves of all practitioners). Online and over the phone Nutritional and herbal medicine consultations are also available at Alexandria.

Amy is Director and Practitioner at both Amy Forth Acupuncture, Randwick and The Acupuncture Pregnancy Clinic Alexandria,  located in Alexandria Specialist Day Hospital, Alexandria alongside IVF Australia.

Amy has a vision of developing acupuncture as a mainstream and accessible part of modern healthcare. She originally moved to Sydney from Melbourne several years ago to complete a Master of Global Health, researching integrative health care practices. Amy now has a part time research and development role in Integrative Medicine education at NICM, Western Sydney University.

Amy offers an integrative approach and brings her own research into her everyday practice. She prefers working together and communicating with her patients’ GPs, specialists, and other healthcare providers. Amy is an advocate of a real team approach to care – which hugely benefits her patients. You can expect Amy will write to other healthcare provides and offer team based approach to your care.

As a leader in her field she has presented to many leading health care institutions, Universities and Conferences on topics such as” IVF and acupuncture research and clinical approaches to optomises her patient’s outcomes and more recently the importance of Inter-profession communication. Some of her lectures include “Acupuncture Care during IVF”, “Acupuncture Pregnancy Care”, and “Inter professional communication: A stepping stone in the Integration of Complementary and Biomedicine”.

With a strong desire to further develop integrative health care practices, is  also apart of Australian Integrative Medicine Association (AIMA) Inter-Professional working group and has presented at conferences in Australia and overseas on the importance of inter-professional communication.

In her spare time, Amy may be found at the beach reading a book or doing an ocean swim, in unusual positions at a yoga class, or chatting away over a cup of tea.

Amy is a registered practitioner with CMBA, AHPRA, and member of ATMS, and is accredited with all major private health funds.

Kathleen is a clinical naturopath and acupuncturist. She has been in practice since 2009 and holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy and a Master of Applied Science in Acupuncture. Over the past decade, Kathleen has worked within large integrative clinics and smaller collaborative centres, which has provided a wide range of clinical experiences and fuelled her passion for providing the best available health care for her patients.

Kathleen’s practice aims to help optimise everyday living through diet and lifestyle, herbal medicine, acupuncture and manual therapy. She holds a special interest in supporting the health of women, new parents and families. However, she loves working with people from all walks of life and has experience with many common health complaints, including IVF and natural fertility.

Kathleen sits on the board of the Naturopaths and Herbalists Association of Australia and is passionate about raising the profile of her profession while sharing her knowledge with others. She also works as an educator, teaching in naturopathy, nutrition and herbal medicine degree programs. Kath has run professional workshops for midwives, nurses and lactation consultants on integrative pregnancy and postpartum care; and has presented at corporate and community events in Qld and NSW.
